Tuna fish salad

Today's dinner: Tuna fish salad. What a wonderful dinner to have...especially when you consider that we forgot to defrost any of the meat we have in the freezer. I'm just happy that Nick didn't decide to mix the tuna with the can of chili that we have in the pantry. He tends to do such things without warning, and then surprise, it's tuna chili pasta surprise!

So this past weekend, Nick and I went to a local Japanese restaurant that received great reviews from the Citysearch people. We walk in and get seated, and then minutes later, Nick says "and Zach Braff just walked in the door." My back was facing the door, so I didn't turn around to see if he was right...and I didn't have to because he, his mother, and step-father were seated next to us. It was very interesting since the close quarters of the restaurant allowed us to hear some of their conversation. I know, it's a bad thing to eavesdrop, but it was hard to stop ourselves.

So that was celebrity sighting number 1. Yesterday, I was about to leave the office to go home, and I was in a rush because Nick and I needed to get back to the car service department before they closed, otherwise, Nick would be without a car. While I was running out of the front lobby, I looked up and noticed that Ben Affleck was walking by. This isn't too much of a surprise because the Google office is located across the hallway from the Project Greenlight office, and according to the Googlers, Ben Affleck tends to show up sometimes, while Matt Damon doesn't show up as much. Anyway, it was still exciting to me to see another famous person.

Oh, for those of you who visited our blog last night, you might have noticed that the name of our blog and our screen names have changed. I guess Nick didn't like the name "gayglers." I chose that name initially because it's the name of the GBLT Google group. Our new name "super guys" is a reference to one of our favorite anime series "super gals," in case you were wondering why we chose that name.

As for the name of our blog, "kitty-doken," I'm not sure that I can explain that one. It has something to do with "8-bit theater," which I've never read, but Nick has. Maybe he should explain it:

Ahem. You see, black mage (BM) has a special level-9 spell, the all-powerful Hadoken. It destroys everything, more or less. But he can only cast it once per day, much to his dismay. One day, though, he discovers that throwing his best friend/worst enemy Fighter (I like swords) in a wonderful move he calls "Fighter-doken", he can still harm the bad guys. A little. Anyway, Jerry throws kitty onto the bed sometimes, and Kitty-doken seems like a good title for that. Nerdy enough for you? Okay, back to being antisocial.. Jerry can type the rest.

And how appropriate, we're watching Tivo'd Ellen, and she's talking about her cat. And I do not throw, I gently toss.

I think that's all we have to say for today. BYE!!!

Jerry and Nick

Long time no see, and nice to know how you've been in the real world :-P

I moved to west LA (well, almost Santa Monica), and I've been hoping to see famous people. No news yet...

See you!
Emi
