The Kylie concert

This will be a quick post since we're about to go to sleep soon. I (Jerry) woke up this morning feeling like I had a cold or a flu, which was especially bad since tonight was the Kylie concert. Nick went out to a pharmacy to get me some medicine, and I spent a lot of time in bed in order to rest up for the concert. After drugging myself up, Nick and I went to the Manchester Evening News Arena--appropriately enough for a Kylie concert, the arena's acronym is MEN. We were seated in the middle of the floor and the people next to us, Natalie and Paul, were very outgoing, and were impressed that we flew from the US to go to the concert.

The concert was fantastic! It was visually spectacular, with LCD curtains (strings of LCD beads, I guess, hanging from the ceiling), a video floor, seven costume changes, and numerous half naked male dancers. Nick took a bunch of pictures, which we hope to post soon. The cool thing about the concert was the last song, which was an acoustic version of "All I See." I'm not sure if that was on the playlist, but it was a nice ending.

And now we're off to Brussels!

Update (by Nick):
Jerry may only remember the Kylie concert, but we also saw a bit of Manchester today. Particularly, we saw the Museum of Science and Industry. Here's a bit from a working set of steam engines that they run every day:

Also, we saw some Roman ruins.

Anyway, Kylie was fantastic!

Now on to Brussels...
