sold our condo!

Hello everyone! Nick and I are happy to tell y'all that we finally sold our condo. We received the offer last week, and then countered it because it was rather low. The buyer accepted the counteroffer, and after the inspection and finance contingencies were met earlier this week, it's basically a done deal. And now, we need to find movers to move our stuff out of the condo up to Kirkland.

Nick is in Kirkland right now helping out some people in the Kirkland office, and he decided that he wanted to stay in our new house. This meant that we needed to get all the utilities set up, purchase a mattress for Nick to sleep on while he's there, and just generally make it bare-bones livable. Well...Nick got to the house and discovered that the water isn't turned on yet, so he won't be staying there tonight. Fortunately, my parents are taking a two week vacation to Thailand and Taiwan, so he's going to spend the night at their place. Tomorrow, the cable should be installed, the mattress should arrive, and the water should be running. Nick did say that he talked to one of our neighbors who suggested that we replace the toilets because the builders used the cheapest low flow toilets that they could find. Nick also mentioned that he briefly met Josh Brown, the kicker for the Seattle Seahawks. Supposedly, his friend parked her motorcycle in our driveway because she believed that no one lived there, which is essentially true, but she kindly moved it once she realized that Nick was there.

There's a ping pong tournament going on at the office right now. I lost in the first round in a close match, so I was immediately thrown into the loser's bracket. I won my first round match in the loser's bracket last Monday, and now my next match is against the person who beat me a couple of weeks ago. I'm a little annoyed that I had to draw him again so early in the loser's bracket, but that's the way it goes. Hopefully I can win this time around...I need to learn not to go for every shot since that was my downfall when we played the first time. I hit waaaaaay too many shots into the net, including three straight shots which were guaranteed slams, except for me 'cuz they hit the net all three times. Maybe I should play with the slice?

I don't know if anyone actually reads this blog anymore, but I'll keep updating! I'll also try to update a little more frequently! Hope all of you are doing well, and for those at USC, have a great spring break!
