Leaving for Seattle

Hi! So tomorrow morning, Nick, Kitty, and I start our drive up to Seattle to prepare for our wedding (which is in two weeks!). I'm freaking out, but Nick thinks everything is fine. We'll be there for two weeks, working from the kirkland office. And then we head back down to Santa Monica the day after our wedding.

And we also hope to start preparations to sell our house while we're there. We need to do a lot of cleaning and moving of things, but we have some time to do that. We really hope we can sell the house because that would be one less thing to have to worry about.

Work has been going well...and Nick got promoted! However, he's been having to deal with some issues relating to work that he's not very pleased about, including flying to Mountain View repeatedly. Unfortunately, we won't be taking much of a break until October, so he'll have to deal with it for now.

I guess that's all I have to say for now. We've been busy with work, the wedding, and hanging out with our co-workers, which has been fun. I've been playing a lot of tennis and at one point, I thought I figured out how to hit my forehand, but I've lost it now and desperately need to find it again.

Ok, hope you're all doing well, and I'll see some of you really soon!

less than one month away!

So Nick and I just realized that our wedding is happening in less than a month and that in less than two weeks, we'll be starting our drive up to Seattle. It's crazy that all this is happening so fast, but it's also quite exciting. We've finalized the cake order, found a DJ, booked the florist and the photographer. I think all that's left now is to find a pianist for the ceremony and also to discuss details of the ceremony with Emily a bit more.

We haven't received all the RSVP cards, so if you're one of the few who haven't sent one to us, please do so soon.

In other news, Nick and I have been quite busy lately with work and other stuff. My kickball team won our first playoff game, and we play our next playoff game this wednesday. Nick and I have also been playing tennis on the weekends, and I realized that my forehand sucks, but my backhand has gotten much better. Nick's improved too, but his backhand still needs help.

And that's all for now. BYE!!!
